Fleur-de-Lis am Schlossweiher

The fleur-de-lis is probably the best-known symbol of the French monarchy. According to legend, it was presented to the Merovingian King Clovis I by an angel. - Five years ago, we planted it as a marsh iris (Iris pseudacorus) in our wedding meadow in the castle park, where it now frames our weddings in a very royal way and almost steals the show from the brides. The author also likes to wear them.

Die Fleur-de-Lis ist wohl das bekannteste Symbol der französischen Monarchie. Der Legende nach wurde sie dem Merowingerkönig Chlodwig I von einem Engel überreicht. – So oder so ähnlich haben wir sie auch als Sumpf-Schwertlilie (Iris pseudacorus) vor 5 Jahren an unsere Hochzeitswiese im Schlosspark gepflanzt, wo sie von nun an sehr royal unsere Hochzeiten rahmt und den Bräuten aber auch nur fast die Show stiehlt.
